About the Author
Emma Charlton is a British author whose writing is rooted in real lives, untold stories and the resilience of women. Her work spans both historical fiction and memoir, united by a passion for emotional honesty, self-discovery and the moments that shape who we become.
Her debut novel, The Colour of Dust and Sunlight, was inspired by her grandmother's story and extensive research into British life in India during the late 1930s and 1940s. It explores love, loss, displacement and the courage it takes to rebuild a life in an unfamiliar world.
Her second book, The Women's Late Diagnosis Club, is a deeply personal account of receiving an autism diagnosis in her early fifties. Blending memoir with practical reflection, it offers reassurance, insight, reflective questions and strategies for women who have spent a lifetime wondering why they always felt different.
Emma lives in the UK with her husband and two cats. Whether writing fiction inspired by family history or sharing her own experiences, she hopes her books help readers feel understood, less alone and inspired to embrace their own stories.
